About The Event
DATE & TIME: Saturday evening 21st September 6:15 for 6:30pm start
STORY: Poppy Hill is set in Yokohama in 1963. From up on Poppy Hill, Umi raises signal flags to the ships each morning… for her father who passed away on a boat during the Korean War. At school, the club house is threatened with demolition, and as they work to save the building, the story follows the blossoming romance of Umi and Shun. Nothing inappropriate for children. It’s a happy ending. :-)

SUITABILITY: Rated G but the themes are probably difficult for the younger ones to connect to, hence recommended for older children and adults. While the internet suggests age 8 and above, my personal feeling is that age 10 or 12 would be better. (I’m very conservative). Recommended for the following classes:
Tues 5:10
Wed 5:10
